Teach Me Dirty edition by Jade West John Hudspith Literature Fiction eBooks

The setup is classic, but the execution is altogether transcendent. Helen does not think she could "launch a thousand ships," but she does. Her strength and maturity not out of proportion with her childishness and naïveté. She's a great eighteen-year-old artist character. Her creativity and dedication, her innate oddity, elevate her ahead of her classmates, and her connection to Mark is believable. But West balances her Helen with dramatic outbursts, impulse control issues, and actual parents who act aware of their responsibilities for sending children into the world.

Mark was way more gentle than I anticipated. His control, his brokenness, his reflection on his actions and consequences, all combine into one of the sweetest, strongest West heroes to date. So while the steam is plentiful and inventive as only West can write, it's also tender, and pedagogical, and the dynamic between these two is deliciously contained and nurtured in the dyad, while rippling outward into their community of secondary characters. Very nice.

Teach Me Dirty edition by Jade West John Hudspith Literature Fiction eBooks Reviews

Wow this book was such a surprise! The plot had lots of depth and the characters were well developed. Helen and Mr. Roberts had the best chemistry and were made for each other. I felt all the love they had for one another and all the emotions of being in a forbidden love relationship that required secrecy and sacrifice. Yes there is an age difference, but I found myself not caring while I was reading, I just wanted them to be able to love each other and have their HEA. The book had twists and turns and I could not put it down. Jade West knows how to make her sex scenes steamy, hot, and captivating. I cried when reading this book. I felt all the emotions the characters felt. I am not an artist but Helen and Mr. Roberts are both artists in the book and their art work and their love for the craft and how they expressed themselves to each other through art was so poetic. I am absolutely amazed at the writing and talent by Jade West. Teach Me Dirty is the first book I have read by her and I will definitely be reading more from her! I cannot wait to see what she has for us next.
*******Warning******* There are parts in this book that some may see as disturbing.

Lost in a world that she did't understand. Her life was Art and a crush on a man, a teacher, who'd been the Subject that brought her unhindered talent to life.

When she was in his class with his guidance, her inhibitions were set free. She didn't understand the need to be controlled, but she what she did know was he would be the one who did it.

It was wrong, he was her teacher and her teacher- the one person who was supposed to teach her, but he couldn't stop thinking about what would happen if there were more.

Would the rules, the wrongness, be the determining factor be what kept them apart? Or would they define everything that was supposed to be considered bad and move forward?

Loved it.
I have no words...this book was beyond magnificent.
It gripped from the very first page until the last.

I sobbed my heart out near the end.
Mark is a truly unique man. He was so broken and didn't even really realise it until Helen awoke him. He is a man of courage, conviction, deep love and total understanding.

Helen was absolutely amazing. She knew right from the start that Mark was for her. He was her everything. When everyone thought she was to young to know, she knew exactly who her future was.

This is their incredible story..it will touch you deeply..toss you around and pull you out the other side with a deeper understanding of true love, no matter the age or the age gap.
~3.5/5
I will pick up pretty much anything that West releases at this point, but this was still a little iffy for me.

I don’t really mind student-teacher relationships like some people, but I could definitely see the problems with this one, given the age difference. But the way that Helen has such a strong infatuation, and their similarities, it made sense to me. Plus, she’s over-age.

There is definitely chemistry here, they both have a lot in common and similar interests and personalities. The chemistry and relationship was also very slow to build; it was burning for both of them, but it took a while to get going. And that worked really well, I think, given the type of relationship it was and where they were coming from. He needed time to accept it, for a large part. It also wasn’t overly kinky, but had enough that made sense.

And then the ending worked really well, I think. It made sense how they both reacted, and I liked how Helen’s parents weren’t just seen as the villains. Their dislike was understandable, but the way they compromised so they wouldn’t lose her also worked. It seemed mostly realistic.

Helen also had a best friend, who had quite a few problems. I didn’t like the way that she treated Helen a few times, and think it maybe should have been addressed more, but what happened with her makes sense and was hinted at. The way that progressed made sense, I suppose.

This was an enjoyable read but very slow, though I didn’t love it. I will definitely be picking up her next one, though.

Jade West has knocked it out of the park with this book. Forget your standard Teacher/Student scenario, this book was above and beyond that basic concept. The character of Helen was so deeply emotional & serious & Mr Roberts was so caring & real. I have no words for the beauty of this story, not to mention the hotter than hot sex scenes. I absolutely loved it & Jade West is a force to be reckoned with in this writing genre. An absolute favourite of mine for 2016 & I would recommend this book in a heartbeat. 5 beautiful stars from me.
